Livery, brand book and executive summary for the world’s best Advanced Jet Trainer.
Can a legendary training platform stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving market? The Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) from BAE Systems is still the world’s leading jet trainer, despite it first flying in 1974 and provides a cost-effective and flexible way to train fast jet fighter pilots. As well as the aircraft, the system provides on-site trainers and maintenance teams. With newer and modern-designed competition emerging from Italy and Korea, the existing Hawk shape, along with its branding and livery, made the aircraft look dated and lack appeal within the global market.
The project involved designing a new aircraft livery, supported by marketing collateral and associated items that reflected the Hawk’s position as the number one AJT in the world.
The new identity and livery for the Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer demonstrator was designed specifically to enhance the existing shape of the aircraft, giving it a new sleek and dynamic image, while a large format brand book told the Hawk story, supported by a detailed executive summary. The project involved bespoke CGI imagery, art directed photoshoots and technical illustrations to support the story of performance, heritage and reliability.
Think’s strategic approach allowed BAE Systems to confidently present the Hawk AJT as the premier choice for training the next generation of elite fighter pilots. The Hawk’s legacy of excellence, combined with its revitalised visual identity, ensured its continued dominance in the advanced jet trainer market. Looking to breathe new life into your brand?
