Our year in review

As 2022 came to an end, we wanted to take a moment to look back at some of the amazing projects we worked on throughout the year. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with so many fantastic clients and we’re excited to see what the future holds!

January – NW ADASS Campaign

We kicked off the year with a bang, creating a recruitment campaign for NW Adass. This was aimed at encouraging young people in the North West to pursue a career in care work. The Think team developed an engaging, shareable, and colourful campaign that challenged negative perceptions about the field. We used a mix of traditional and online marketing, including a popular TikTok/Instagram user-generated format encouraging viewers to create their own videos using the hashtag #stepintosocialcare. These videos featured young care workers showcasing the positive aspects of their jobs. With the help of NW Adass, the campaign successfully recruited new young caregivers, generating over 100 applications.

“We’re very pleased with Think’s work – they’ve been responsive and patient due to delays caused by the pandemic and produced exceptional results.”

February – Emerge

In February emerged, we reconnected with a long-standing client, Emerge Recycling. We had previously collaborated on three websites. This time, we took on a new venture for an investment campaign. The aim was to encourage ethical investments in their social enterprise. It offered the opportunity for investors who wanted to make a positive impact in the community to buy shares in Emerge Recycling. The campaign, titled “Make a Material Difference in the Heart of Greater Manchester,” offered investor members up to 4% interest on their shares, starting from the financial year 2024/25.

Utilising LinkedIn, Twitter and email marketing, the 10-week campaign attracted over 2,000 potential investors and secured investments from 60 individuals, raising over £220,000.

“Paul has an excellent knowledge in terms of design and marketing strategy. His enhanced team are very responsive, capable and conscientious. We can’t thank them enough for all of their support and for going the extra mile in regard to our recently launched community share offer.”

March – Dementia Report

In March, we had the opportunity to partner with the University of Manchester. A project was aimed for influencing government legislation. The Healthy Ageing Research Group needed a visually appealing 90-page policy report summarising a consultation with over 250 stakeholders and presenting seven key recommendations. With only six weeks to complete the project and the additional challenge of an animation agency dropping out two weeks before the deadline, the Think team stepped up to the challenge. We not only designed and illustrated the report from scratch but also created a 3-minute, 23-second animation.

The results of the legislation changing report design were outstanding. The report, titled “Housing and living well with dementia,” achieved its goal of influencing policy changes. The government implemented new regulations requiring accessibility features for dementia patients in new builds.

“Since the beginning of our engagement, working with Think has been collaborative and has transformed the way we communicate. The latest report ‘Housing and living well with dementia’ was no different. Think spent time to understand the subject matter and produced engaging illustrations from scratch, that really captured what we were trying to communicate. Professional, speedy yet thorough, I would highly recommend the Think team, especially when working with sensitive material. The final report has been a huge success and has led to direct changes in policy and practice both across Greater Manchester but also nationally. The accessibility and design of the report alongside the animation have been key to its dissemination and impact success.”

April – Clearwater Growth

When April rolled along, it was time to unleash what we’d been working on with Clearwater International. They planned on launching a new division. The aim was for unlocking £250m of new domestic and international investments. Meanwhile, we worked on this new sector’s branding and website. This division would be called Clearwater Growth. The goal was to target an audience that may not be familiar or intimidated by global financial advisories. It was important that the audience (people looking for first time investments) knew what Clearwater could offer them. Developing a new brand identity, including a logo and website design for Clearwater Growth has given it a strong identity. For Think, this was an amazing opportunity of continuing to support CG with SEO, video content, direct mail and more.

“I’ve worked with quite a few creative agencies over the years and THINK are by far my favourite so far. They have felt like an extension of my team which is so important when working with an agency. They’ve brought fresh ideas to the table and have pushed our brand guidelines to the max to give us something new and exciting. Their customer service is that of an in-house team – quick to respond, will push back if they need more time and are always friendly.”

May – Mancmade productions

Independent film production house, MancMade Productions wanted a revitalised website that would capture a fresh energy. They wanted to show aspiring filmmakers, podcasters and playwrights the opportunities available through collaboration. Obviously, Think were the perfect fit for this, delivering a sleek and stylish website that presents MancMade as a forward-thinking independent film producer.

June – Think

As we reached the middle of the year, it was time Think indulged in self-care and gave our website a fresh coat of paint. Along with an abridged name and some polished brand style guidelines, it kept us looking top of our game and ready to take on the rest of the year.

July – Galloways

Galloways have been a close partner of Think since 2014. This history and connection means we knew exactly how to go ahead with redesigning the Galloways website. Smooth animations, a new colour scheme and easier navigation is what gives Galloways’ site a (carbon-balanced printed) certificate of approval. Learn more about the Galloways Print project.

“Fantastic agency – as both a printer partner and a client to Think, I am always impressed by their professionalism and knowledge of the market, with the end result always superb when the job comes to fruition.”

August – Made for Trade

After working with them to modernise their in-house brand Korniche, we took on the challenge to refresh parent company, Made for Trade. This rebrand needed to maintain their ‘Trade’ roots and keep their philosophy in place. We gave MFT a complete makeover, while also connecting it with the style of Korniche. The final design was developed into brand guidelines, a website and a full suite of marketing collateral.

September – Thomas James Clocks

Heading into autumn, we worked with Thomas James Clocks, who design and manufacture the best wall clock in the world, produced exclusively in Britain. The timeless British design required a brand identity to match but on a startup budget. Completion of the logo was carried out using the font designed by renowned British typeface designer and sculptor, Eric Gill. The clock design itself provided many design ideas which we were able to use throughout the brand and website design, all reinforcing the elegance and beauty the clock conveyed.

October – Bird at Birtle

Gastropub ‘The Bird at Birtle’ were in need of a new website, wanting to show off all the gorgeous dishes, drinks, events and rooms available to book. An on-site photography shoot took place and the standout photos were used across the new website. The aim was, as visitors scroll through the site, they would be met with dishes to make their mouth water.

“So pleased we went with Think on a full redesign of our style and website. Absolutely made up with the end product.”

November – Fresh Start Waste

We have been working closely remarketing Fresh Start Waste in a range of services. Firstly, we launched their Google Ad campaigns, which brought in more enquiries on their business waste removal, and highlighting their monolithic presence in the North-West of England. In November we also produced a new website for them, highlighting services, case studies and testimonials. There is also a bigger focus on their positive contributions to recycling and acknowledgement of their environmental responsibility – such as a partnership with app ‘Too Good To Go.’

This project launched just in time for the holiday season, where business waste will be the highest it has been all year. Fresh Start will be able to swoop in like a hero in the night and provide them with reliable waste collection.

December – Keymer

A close working relationship with heritage tile maker, Keymer (alongside their parent company Wienerberger) has led to us creating a complete brand overhaul and website redesign. Souped-up brand guidelines have given a fresh sense of direction and order to inform the Keymer website.

2022 is coming to an end and we can’t thank you enough for all of your support in making it such a success. We’re excited about what’s coming next year but before then…

We have one more thing that needs showing off!

“Think have become an integral part of the Wienerberger digital team, supporting us with several workstreams across our digital roadmap. From hands on execution through to strategic consultancy, Think provide an excellent service and value for money. We are excited to see how the partnership evolves this year.”
